Set within a compact urban plot, this three-storey residence reorganizes the conventional Indian home by lifting private living areas to the upper floors while dedicating the ground level to landscape and work. A garden and a home office occupy this ground plane, connected to the floors above by a sculptural steel-and-wood spiral staircase — its dark helical frame and warm timber treads forming a quiet counterpoint to the exposed brick backdrop.

The street-facing north façade is composed as a study in solids and voids: a full-height recessed window bay, banded in brick and plaster, threads through both upper levels, projecting outward as continuous balconies. On the first floor, this balcony bridges the foyer and living room into a single outdoor extension; on the second, it links the daughter's bedroom to her own private terrace — establishing a rhythm of openings that ties interior life to the street beyond.
